Tales Among the Trees; April 27 - 29, 2012 PDF Print E-mail

by Alexis Pierce and Steven Craig

On stage April 27-April 29, 2012

A fractured fairy tale featuring students from River Middle School, Stone Bridge School, and Napa High School. Tales Among the Trees presents the stories of Little Red Riding Hood and Hansel and Gretel as told by two clumsy narrators who have trouble keeping track of which story is going on at what time. All three children take an adventure into the woods, but once there, their tales become intertwined as they get lost in the trees.

Showtimes for Tales Among the Trees are Friday and Saturday, April 27th and 28th at 7pm.  Sunday, April 29th at 2pm.

An original piece written by Alexis Pierce and Steven Craig.  Directed by Alexis Pierce as a part of her senior project.

Reservations are required. There is no charge for Tales Among The Trees but donations are encouraged. All donations benefit the River School Drama Program and the Stone Bridge School Drama Program. The show runs approximately 45 minutes and there will be no intermission.

Alexis first joined NVP in 2008 at the ripe old age of 13 as Stage Technician for the Black Box production of The Gin Game. She has been an invaluable part of our team ever since, serving backstage in the booth on both lights and sound for many productions. For her Senior Project, she is writing a fractured fairy tale which will star local middle schoolers. Alexis will also direct. We are pleased to have her project premiere in our venue!
